Boris Diakonov and Oleg Tinkov on Bank24, Otkritie Bank and SME banks

In a nutshell:

1. There are 3 banks in Russia that have seriously and correctly entered the SME segment (combining banking and accounting services in a package) — Tinkov, Otkritie and ModusBank.

2. Judging by My Business and Belarusian Assistant, Alfa Bank is moving in a similar direction. But Alfa Bank is big and not very agile, even in spite of Peter Didenko and Alfa Lab :)

3. Tinkov will provide live outsourced accountants in the SME package.

4. Diakonov failed with Bank24, but he is not giving up and I think Otkritie might disrupt the market.

5. Ukraine, unfortunately, is still “not even close” in terms of the level of development of banking services for SMEs.
